„Lingam“, is the Sanskrit word fo the male genital area. In English there is no similar verbal concept for the appreciation of the male’s sex organs: neither the more clinical word “penis” (Latin for “member”), nor “willy” nor “dick” can convey the graceful meaning which the entire genital area might symbolize for a man himself. Consequently we chose the word “Lingam” on purpose. Historically and in its proper sense it implies worship and tender devotion.
